Opportunity

As a multi-year innovation partner to Citi’s D10X Innovation program, the FUNL team has validated over 100 product ideas, through demand tests, prototyping and other methods.

Work 

  • Crafted and executed over 100 experiments to validate new product ideas, value propositions and audiences, and several prototypes. 
  • Concurrent digital demand tests for multiple cohorts of early product concepts, with tight assumptions and constraints.
  • Use an iterative sprint approach, an experiment-driven framework and real-time dashboards to test and measure value propositions, product features, audience segment, conversion rates and KPIs across the entire conversion funnel.
  • Qualitative and quantitative research, including interviews, focus groups, street intercepts, video diary studies, andethnogrpahies.
  • Product concept design, clickable prototypes, functional software prototypes and MVPs.
  • Sales and e-commerce experiments and conferences.

Results

  • Created a repeatable validation methodology that became standard practice.
  • Adapted to many changes in strategy and personnel to remain a trusted validation partner.
  • Provided product teams with key customer insights to validate or invalidate product ideas and justify next phase investments
  • Provided valuable performance benchmarks and metrics.
